This privacy policy explains what personal data expatfinance.dk collects, why, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
expatfinance.dk is operated by a private individual based in Denmark. Questions about this policy can be sent via the contact form on the site.
What data we collect and why
Contact form
When you submit the contact form, we collect your name and email address. We use this only to respond to your message. We don’t add contact form submissions to any mailing list or use them for any other purpose.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — responding to a direct enquiry.
Email newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your first name. This is processed by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), a U.S.-based email platform. Your data is transferred to the U.S. under standard contractual clauses.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email. On unsubscribing, your data is deleted from Kit within 30 days.
Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how long people stay, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your IP address, which Google may use to infer your approximate location.
We have enabled IP anonymisation. We do not use Google Analytics data to identify individual visitors.
Google is a data processor acting on our behalf. Data may be transferred to the U.S. under standard contractual clauses. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. We won’t notify subscribers by email unless the change directly affects how their data is used.
